ACTIVE TRAVEL GUIDE / PLAN
Cartagena in 3, 5 or 7 days
A good active trip has room to change. Use these ideas as a starting point, then confirm activities, access and weather before you commit.
Three days: Quick Reset
Day one: arrive, settle into the apartment and take an easy walk. Day two: choose an early run or ride, then spend the afternoon exploring the Old City. Day three: enjoy a gentle swim or paddle if available and give yourself time to pack and recover.
Five days: Train & Explore
Use the first two days for your preferred swim, bike or run sessions. Keep a midday pause on each day. Add a lagoon afternoon, a slower visit to Cartagena's historic center and a flexible day for food or a water activity. A sample sequence is an easy run and Old City, cycling and recovery, swim and paddle, a longer ride, then an island or diving day with an independent operator.
Seven days: Caribbean Training Week
Spread the same ideas out. Alternate focused mornings with easier days and leave at least one open day for weather changes or a spontaneous local experience. A longer stay gives you space for both the rhythm of training and the reasons you came to Cartagena.
These are sample itineraries, not pre-booked packages. Activity access, operators and opening hours must be checked individually.
